Konark is the mst famous Sun Temple in the world. It is also known as 'Black Pagoda' (as it was built with black granite) It was built by King Narasimhadeva I of Eastern Ganga dynasty.
It's in the shape of 24-wheel chariot (symbolizing 24 hours in a day) drawn by seven horses (symbolizing seven days of a week)
