Question 2
The Gayatri Mantra contained in the Rig Veda is dedicated to which deity?
Question 2 - Answer
Savitri (also called Savitr)
Question 2 - Explanation

The Gayatri mantra (Rig Veda III.62.10) is the greatest and most well-known Vedic chant. It has a Vedic metre of 24 syllables. It was first cognized by the Rishi Vishwamitra. The mantra is chanted three times daily - at dawn, noon and dusk. At dawn it is called Gayatri (symbolizing youth). At noon, it is called Savitri (symbolizing maturity). It is called Saraswati at sunset (symbolizing wisdom)

Both Gayatri and Savitri are forms of Saraswati, consort of Brahma, the creator.
